Highs and lows

Hannah has been lurching from one attitude extreme to another.

She has been reading the Little House books so I tried to psych her up for our trip to the Old City: “Hannah, you like old fashioned things. You’ll love this place!”

…prompting this amazing whine, screeched as we approached Damascus Gate:

“You said there would be HISTORY! There is no history here!”

But then, hours later, stunned by sensory overload in the Muslim, Christian and Armenian Quarters, she came home and sat right down to make this:

“It’s a sign, Mommy. It says ‘I love to travel.'”

(First baby tooth lost on the Massachusetts Turnpike a week ago!)
